CE Marking

DI-Teknik can conduct CE marking and, in cooperation with the customer, conduct risk assessment, collect the technical dossier, as well as draw up the instruction manual and declaration of conformity.

CE marking is compulsory

All new machines must be CE marked before being used. “Machine” means several interconnected parts or devices, of which at least one is movable, as well as associated propulsion devices, control circuits, and power supply circuits, etc., so that they are interconnected for a more detailed use, processing, moving and packaging of a material.

The CE marking is a key indicator of a product’s compliance with EU legislation and allows free movement of goods on the European market. When a manufacturer CE marks a product, he declares on his own responsibility, that the product complies with all legal requirements for CE marking, and he guarantees that the product in question, may be sold throughout the European Economic Area.

Building automation, i.e. ventilation systems, air conditioning, automatic blinds/sun shielding, etc. are also categorized as machines and must be CE marked according to the Machinery Directive. Alarm systems, lighting controls, and other non-machines must also be risk assessed from 20th April 2016 and have traceability under the Low Voltage and/or EMC Directive.

It is the manufacturer or importer who is responsible for the CE marking.
